CTS-XNQ Ultrasonic Flaw Detector

The ultrasonic flaw detector—CTS-XNQ (Accumulator phased array detecting system) comprises of the CTS-PA22S PA module, Windows APPs and specialized probes. The instrument is connected to the laptop through the network cable and to the PLC module through the serial port, realizing the automatic flaw detection. The detection is real-time and efficient, coming with an intuitive result, which effectively reduces the work time and simplifies the workflow.

D-scan

  • Imaging along with scanning.

  • The scanning speed follows the rotation speed of the robot arm.

  • The image is collected in a 380° circumference direction by default, with the position increment of 0.5°.

Alarm

  • Automatically identifies the defects status by telling whether the image in the imaging box breaks the threshold of Gate A.

  • The defects will be showed on the part sketch.

Recording

  • Automatic data logging.

  • Scans and saves separately two welds of each part.

Data Storage

  • Saves and recalls the calibrated process parameter setups.

Data Transfer & Replay

The saved detection records can be transferred to other computers through U flash disk, network, etc. The detection records (including parameters and D-scan image data, etc.) can be played back and analyzed.

Working Process

After scanning the code on the part, the robot arm grabs the part and rotates to scan, completing the entire detection process without any manual operation, which achieves the high degree of automation.

Real-time Alarm

The part sketch will display the real-time image and information of defects in the imaging box.
